Rocket League Live is taken to the next level for the 2022 RLCS World Championship with a new competitive game mode!
For each Major in the Championship Series, 404 Creative updated the island by adding new features to keep players engaged with the RLCS livestream. For the 2022 World Championship, Rocket League Live integrated external data from the Rocket League matches to create real-time events in the Fortnite island. Events occurring in the match live on stream, such as goals, triggered a celebration event for that team in the island. These events were also tied to the gameplay experience. To reflect the rivalry in-game, players would choose a team to represent and then compete in a match of Team Rumble. Each time their RLCS team scored, all players representing that team would receive a bonus, giving them the upper hand.
